Strip all ancillaries in order to shot blast complete chassis and rear frame, once shot blasted attend to all structural issues as discussed regarding strengthening and welding including the use of various angle iron etc.
Grey zinc primer complete chassis and rear section, then re-primer using a high build to smooth out where possible this gives added longevity to the top coats.
Apply the first of three top coats semi wet on semi wet using high build commercial techni grip paint. This paint is extremely adhesive and gives an excellent shine, the smoother the application the longer the paint should last.
Having spoken to our suppliers this is by far and away the best outcome to provide a long lasting durable finish. With regards the rear section around the shoot etc we will add two anti scratch lacquer coats as used by Mercedes Benz in an attempt to go OTT with the paint protection. According to our paint supplier nobody has ever done this although it is actually quite feasible!
